Make memories to Ceres It was brilliant, always wanted to do the trip, was a Wonderful birthday gift, what better way to go than by train to Ceres Market but if you are going to drink alcohol on the train, you may need transport to get home. The staff were fantastic, the train also stopped for a smoke break. Went through Sir Lowry Pass village, another place I so much wanted to see. Was a long day but well worth it.

Terrific train trip from Cape Town! The volunteers who run the excursion are exceptional! Their service, the historical ambience of the train, and the never-ending vistas make for a truly memorable day. Ceres Rail to Elgin should be on everyone's 'must-do' list!

Memorable Day on the Train The trip was great. Comfortable and a great experience. We stayed in one of the lounge carriages. Very cozy seats and good views both sides of the train. Staff were friendly, attentive and professional. Would certainly do this trip again!

Elgin Rail Market train Staff were exceptional and very helpful. Though the delays are outside the control of the the staff, this did add unnecessary time to the longish day.

Good times with CRC My friends and I had a great time on board!, I’m sure some will say there can be improvement, but to me the trip was fun and the staff where really nice. we enjoyed the beautiful views and the experience of being on the train, our seating was comfortable and you can open a window and enjoy the outside. The market at the destination is really good.

Absolutely a honour and privilege to have taken the train to Elgin. All Beautiful sights and what a nostalgic experience. And praise to the staff with the behemoth task of maintaining the steam locomotive and keeping the passengers on board very happy!

This company surpassed every expectation we had. What an incredible experience! Our 7 year old twin boys loved every minute of the journey, especially since they could experience a real steam train. The cabins are absolutely beautiful and the nostalgia of overnight trains of long ago was so special. Every member of staff we encountered was helpful and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Stunning views. Took long but definitely a bucket list item. Met like minded ppl on the train. Watch out for the train wreckers who booze it up all the way. Good old fashioned time with ur partner. Highly recommend
